Age 85, died August 13, 2020. Lewis was born in 1935 and a life long resident of Nashville and Franklin, TN. He graduated from Duncan Preparatory High School in 1952, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in 1956 and his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1961. He served in the U.S Army as a 1st Lieutenant in Germany from 1957-1959. In 1961 Lewis became an associate with Manier, Crouch, White & Herod. He remained with the firm during his entire 36 years of practice. During his practice he served as managing partner of the firm and also served on the Executive Committee. The firm later became know as Manier, Herod, Hollabaugh & Smith, now known as Manier & Herod. Lewis was a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers. He was also a member of the Tennessee Bar and Nashville Bar Association and served as a past member of the Board of Directors of NBA. He was a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and served as chairman of its Fidelity and Surety Committee. Lewis spent most of his career as a trial lawyer with emphasis on defense of all types of professional liability. He also practiced construction surety law. During his career he enjoyed training other lawyers within the firm. He was Past Master of his local Masonic Lodge. In addition to his law practice Lewis and his wife, Andrea enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the United States and Canada on their motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Andrew Hollabaugh, Jr. and Edith May Hollabaugh; brother, Andrew Newton Hollabaugh, III; sister, Johanne Hollabaugh Wainwright. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Hollabaugh; daughters, Lela Hollabaugh (Dean), Virginia Louwien (Boyd) and Tish Mastrianni (Tony); grandchildren, Bo Bowen, Ginny Bowen, Carie Mastrianni and Michael Mastrianni; sister, Edythe Williams (Charlie); nieces and nephews.
