My sincere condolences to the Asmondy family. Brian was a great person and father to his young daughters. This tribute should be about him and his caring soul for his entire family. . May GOD rest his soul.

To family and friends of Brain Asmondy, and the universe at large. I want to express my gratitude for Brian for instilling a love of technology in Kimberly and encouraging her to become a nerd. Her choice to attend TAMUCC provided me the opportunity to meet her and become her friend. I am eternally grateful.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's recent passing. Even though we had lost contact with each other several years ago, I still have so many fond and fun memories of Brian and our childhood together. He was quick-witted; perceptive and sharp as a tack. Such a bright and engaging person, and someone who always enjoyed a good hearty laugh as much as I did!
My wife, Kelly, and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the entire Asmondy family as well as to everyone--friends, colleagues and acquaintances--whose lives were touched by Brian. In reading the other comments and tributes here, it's plainly obvious that he radiated a huge, positive light everywhere he went.
Shine on, old pal.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the Asmondy family. Brian was a great role model for his children and grandchildren and has accomplished so much throughout his life. He seemed like an amazing individual. I wish I had the pleasure of meeting him in person but the kind words that people relay of him lets me know that he was a very special person that will be missed greatly!!!

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Brian Asmondy. Though I did not know Brian personally, I can tell what a wonderful man he must have been to raise a strong, thoughtful, intelligent daughter like Kim. She told me that Brian passed on a love of science to her, which she in turn spread to many others during her time at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The world is undoubtedly a better place because Brian Asmondy took the time to encourage scientific curiosity, as well as compassion in his children.
Kindest Regards,
Chris DePuma

I've met Brian only briefly, but immediately as i started talking to him i felt his aura of calmness, kindness and deep wisdom.
He was open and friendly just as the guy Kim told me about.
During the brief interaction i had with him i realized that he is a person who prioritizes helping others and making this society a better place for all people over serving his own needs and wants. It's a remarkable quality that's extremely rare these days.
He left us way too early in his life, but as any good programmer he had a backup plan, he raised amazing kids to continue his legacy and instilled values of honor, integrity and made sure they turn out to be incredibly smart. That's bulletproof plan in my books.
It was an honor to meet you Brian!

Your love can be seen everyday through your children. You taught them how to love and be loved. I can tell by how Kimberly passes that love and kindness on to her children. You will be missed dearly. Everyone in Texas is thinking of you fondly and will miss you dearly.

You taught me everything I know about Love, parenting, kindness, the importance of education and intelligence over confidence, and most importantly-- patience. We shared a gift of long suffering, and the luck of the uber nerd, but you never showed anything but love to others. You were my hero Dad. You will always be my hero. Father to 6 (3 decorated military and 3 beautiful little girls who have yet to define their paths but will surely excel), and grandfather of 3. You were The Dad to every engineer, friend of us kiddos, and young geek who needed a mentor. Never asking for anything for himself, always giving.
Everyone you knew has been better for knowing you. I hope to continue your legacy.
Love,
Your Kimmers
