JAMES AULSIE HARRIS, age 77, known to all as Jim Harris, was born July 6, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee and died of natural causes on August 16, 2020 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Jim was raised in Nashville, Goodlettsville, and then Madison, Tennessee. He graduated from Madison High School and attended Tennessee Tech University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. Jim married his beloved wife Sarah Ann Harris of 53 years on June 24, 1967. Jim spent most of his working years as an Electrical Wholesaler for DESCO and later Williams Electric in Nashville, and was still employed there at the time of his death. He and Sarah were the proud parents of son Aulsie Lee Harris, who sadly passed away in 2015. Jim is survived by his wife Sarah and grandson, Braden Lee Harris, of Mount Juliet. Jim was affectionately known as “Diamond Jim” to his coworkers and will be missed by his many friends and relatives. He most recently worshiped with the Madison Church of Christ and was known for his kindness and generosity to all. Jim was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and Christian. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in the Main Auditorium of the Madison Church of Christ to celebrate Jim’s legacy.
