Obituary of David Craig Adams
David Craig Adams was born in Buford, GA and passed away peacefully in Nashville, TN on January 2, 2021. He was 64 years old. A life-long resident of GA, David graduated from North Gwinnett High School in 1974. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Technical Institute in 1981. Soon afterwards he joined the Georgia Department of Transportation where he was a valued employee for 34 years. Following his retirement, he continued working for GDOT as a Consultant.
David is survived by his wife Sally, daughters Andrea (Drew Chapman) and Erica (Aaron Appleby), granddaughter Audrey Appleby, siblings Donna Adams Pittman and Bruce Adams, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His love for his family, his generous heart, his remarkable courage, and his determination were the hallmarks of a truly exceptional man who will be missed by all who knew him.
A virtual Memorial Service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm EST.
