I always felt comfortable at Uncle Buddy's and Aunt Nancy's. Mom, Dad, Uncle Buddy, and Aunt Nancy would play cards and us kids would play all over the place, inside and out. I would grab Uncle Buddy's hand, or sit on his lap to ask him all sorts of questions. I was always fascinated in the way he would explain the answers. For Example: When I was about 4 years old, I knew Uncle Buddy was so Tall and Smart, he could give me the answer to my most burning question, "Why is the sky blue, Uncle Buddy?" He brought me over to the stairs. We sat down. He brought me close, looked into my eyes and said, with a straight face, "God wanted to paint the Heavens the same color as your eyes, Jeannie," and then hugged me. A second later he got that miscievious look upon his face, and teasing sparkle in his eyes, I knew I was in trouble, real trouble, tickle trouble, and I had better take off at a run or he will tickle torture me. I was real fast and got away. lol I have never forgotten that most cherished memory from my youth and being with, MY Uncle Buddy. I Truly Hope all of his Family and Friends have Wonderful Memories that make you smile or light up your face when thinking of him. I know He is Safe and Surrounded by Light. My Love to Aunt Nancy, and the Family and Friends of Uncle Buddy.
